High School were at home for this fixture against
University of Ulster Coleraine on a fine February day .
This
was the penultimate league fixture for High School but unfortunately the
visiting team could only field 12 players and the game effectively turned
into a friendly before the kick off with UUC conceding the points. High
School agreed to play the match with each team fielding 12 players in
order that both sides could have a run out

As it transpired the game
was rather one sided with High School using the occasion to allow both
backs and forwards to express
themselves in running rugby.
High School scored 16
tries in all against the UUC 4 with the final score being 98 to 26. The
High School try scorers were Gareth Adams 4 tries , Jordon Frampton 3
tries, Neil H astings 3 tries, (
all bought the traditional jug ) Davy Hanna 2 tries and individual tries
by Peter Taylor, John Balmer,
Jonny Mayne and Phil Mckeown.
All conversions were taken as drop goals with some more successful
than others . Gareth almost brought the score to 100 with his final
conversion attempt in front of the posts, the score remained on 98 !.
The final league game
against Cavan is scheduled for February 19th with the first
round of the Gordon West Cup on 26th February .
